Privacy Policy

Last updated: 19 February 2026

Zeroth Group Pty Ltd (ABN 81 665 998 443), trading as Ask ADR ("we," "our," or "us"), is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our services, including our website and mobile application (the "App").

Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. By using our services, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide

  • Account Information: If you create an account, we may collect your email address and authentication credentials.
  • User Content: Questions and queries you submit through our AI chat feature.
  • Communications: Any correspondence you send to us for support or feedback.
  • Vehicle Lookup Data: When you use the Vehicle Lookup feature (available on Ask ADR Pro), we collect the vehicle registration number and state you enter. This information is sent to our third-party data provider, MotorWeb, to retrieve vehicle details on your behalf.
  • Consumer Lead Information: When you use our free consumer services (vehicle lookup, modification guidance, and engineer directory), we may collect vehicle details (e.g., registration, VIN, make, model), modification information, and your name, email address, phone number, preferred contact method, location, and any additional notes you provide. We also record your engineer contact preference—whether you chose to browse and select an engineer yourself, or requested that an engineer contact you. This information may be shared with vehicle engineers as leads so they can respond to your inquiry.

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

  • Usage Data: Information about how you use our services, including features accessed, search queries, and interaction patterns.
  • Device Information: Device type, operating system version, unique device identifiers, and mobile network information.
  • Log Data: Access times, pages viewed, app crashes, and other system activity.

1.3 Information from Third Parties

  • Authentication Providers: We may receive information from third-party authentication providers (such as Apple Sign-In) if you choose to use these services to create or access your account.
  • MotorWeb (Vehicle Lookup): When you use the Vehicle Lookup feature, we receive vehicle information from MotorWeb, including VIN, make, model, year, colour, body style, body construction, dimensions (length, width, height, wheelbase, track, ground clearance), mass data (kerb mass, tare mass, GVM, GCM, payload), towing capacities, turning circle, approach and departure angles, registration expiry, cab type, door count, and other vehicle specifications.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve our services
  • Process and respond to your queries through the AI chat feature
  • Retrieve vehicle details via MotorWeb when you use Vehicle Lookup, display them in the app, and auto-populate job data
  • Facilitate connections between consumers and vehicle engineers—when you select an engineer from our directory, we send your inquiry as a lead to that engineer; when you request that an engineer contact you, we use your information to match you with a suitable engineer who can reach out to you
  • Provide customer support and respond to your requests
  • Send you technical notices and updates
  • Monitor and analyse usage trends to improve user experience
  • Detect, prevent, and address technical issues
  • Comply with legal obligations

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information in the following circumstances:

  • Vehicle Engineers (Leads): When you use our free consumer services and choose to contact a vehicle engineer—either by selecting one from our directory or by requesting that an engineer contact you—we share your contact information (name, email, phone, preferred contact method), vehicle details, modification information, and any notes you provide with that engineer (or, in the case of a callback request, with one or more engineers we match you with) as a lead. This enables the engineer to respond to your inquiry. We also store your engineer contact preference (whether you selected an engineer or requested a callback) for service and record-keeping purposes. By submitting a contact or callback request, you consent to this sharing. Engineers listed in our directory are third parties—we are not responsible for their privacy practices once they receive your information.
  • MotorWeb (Vehicle Lookup): When you use the Vehicle Lookup feature, we share the registration number and state you enter with MotorWeb so they can retrieve your vehicle details. MotorWeb's own privacy policy governs their handling of that data.
  • Service Providers: With third-party vendors who perform services on our behalf, such as hosting, analytics, and AI processing services
  • Legal Requirements: When required by law or to respond to legal process
  • Protection of Rights: To protect the rights, property, or safety of Ask ADR, our users, or others
  • Business Transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets

4. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to provide our services and fulfil the purposes described in this Privacy Policy. We may also retain and use your information to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

5. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure.

6. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your location, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information:

  • Access: Request access to your personal information
  • Correction: Request correction of inaccurate information
  • Deletion: Request deletion of your personal information
  • Portability: Request a copy of your data in a portable format

Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your country of residence. These countries may have data protection laws that are different from the laws of your country.

9. Third-Party Services

Our services may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third parties. We encourage you to read the privacy policies of any third-party services you access.

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy
